Become a Member


Membership shall be open to any parents/guardians willing to enroll their children, teens and young adults in the membership benefits of Zaridi Afrika. The idea behind membership is to offer children and teens a more personalized approach with a clear intention to address their needs, interests and aspirations when need be.

SECTION 1: APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP

Membership to the company shall be by application and shall be subject to approval of the Board of Directors.

A parent/guardian wishing his/her child to become a member shall submit to the Board of Directors a duly filled out Zaridi Afrika membership application form, together with the following attachments:

  • A recent passport picture of child/teen;
  • A copy of the identification document of the parent/guardian;
  • A non-refundable application processing fee of KES. 1,000 to be renewed annually.

SECTION 2: APPLICATION REVIEW PROCESS

Once Submitted, the Board of Directors or its designated sub-committee shall:

  • Acknowledge receipt of the application and advice the parent/guardian whether all required documents have been submitted.
  • Review the application.
  • Advice the applicant about the decision reached respectively.

SECTION 3: BENEFITS

A child, teen or young adult enrolled in our membership shall enjoy the following benefits:

  1. Shall attend all our tours, projects and programs at no cost.
  2. Shall receive individual counselling sessions by our counsellors at the request of the parent/guardian on any day and time.
  3. Shall be allocated to a personal mentor.
  4. Shall receive career guidance mentorship by our professionals and get enrolled to a career development program at the request of the parent/guardian.
  5. Parents/guardians shall attend Zaridi Afrika Parental seminars at no cost.
  6. In accordance to the age of the child, he/she shall be put into online supervised groups which he/she can interact with fellow age mates concerning various matters e.g. education.
  7. Shall attend our monthly family BBQ Sunday at no cost.

SECTION 4: MEMBERSHIP CATEGORY & FEES

Membership shall be in the following categories:

  1. Platinum Members
  2. Gold Members
  3. Silver Members

Parents/guardians should send the respective fees by the 10th of every month and in the event that he/she wishes to change the category, he/she may do so by giving us a 30 day notice.

SECTION 5: ITEMS ISSUED

Each child, teen or young adult duly admitted to the membership of the Zaridi Afrika shall be issued with a membership certificate, indicating among others the date of admission to the outreach and such other details as the Board may from time to time deem appropriate.

He/she will also be issued with a free Zaridi Afrika branded t-shirt and Journal.

SECTION 6: DUTIES AND OBLIGATIONS

Every member of the foundation shall be under the duty and obligation to:

  1. Promote further the aims and objectives of the company to the best of his/her ability.
  2. Exercise honesty, diligence, respect and be of good conduct in general and especially towards other members of the foundation.
  • Abide to this constitution and any rules, regulations, instructions, directives or requests made thereunder.

 

SECTION 7: PENALTIES

Any member who breaches any provision of this form may be;

  • Cautioned twice as shall be determined by the Disciplinary Committee.
  • Suspended for a period of 6 months.
  • Revoked from membership depending on the offence.

Where it is considered membership would be detrimental to the aims and activities of the company, the Disciplinary Committee shall have the power to refuse membership, or may terminate or suspend the membership of any member by resolution passed at a meeting.

Members shall have the right to appeal via an independent adjudicator determined by mutual agreement of the Disciplinary Committee.

If a parent/guardian is delinquent in his/her monthly contribution for a period of more than three (3) months, without a reasonable explanation, the membership of his/her child/teen may be terminated from the group. There will be no compensation/refunds at the time of exit.

SECTION 8: RESIGNATION FROM MEMBERSHIP

A parent/guardian may revoke the membership of his/her child under any category and at any time upon giving a 1 (one) months’ notice to Zaridi Afrika.

Upon approval of the, the Secretary shall deregister such membership from the company register and inform the BOD of the same.

SECTION 9: ACCOUNTS & FINANCES

All payments to be made through M-pesa or bank draft drawn in the name of the account currently in use by the company. (Find payment options and instructions on the website)
